Simple Easy Chocolate Cake
200g Brown sugar
4 eggs separated
120g Cake flour
45ml Coco powder
125ml boiling water
5ml Vanilla essence
Blend the sugar and egg yolk together until light and fluffy
Sift dry ingredients together and slowly add to sugar & egg mixture
Mix oil, boiling water and vanilla essence together, and slowly add to mixture
Mix into a smooth batter
Whip egg whites until stiff peeks are formed
Fold egg whites into mixture
Pour mixture into a 2 well greased cake pans, and place in 180 degree C preheated oven for about 25 mins. (Check doneness)
Don’t let cake pans touch in oven!
This has to be the simplest chocolate cake recipe I have ever done, and the texture of the cake was just phenomenal!
I didn’t get a chance to take a picture before it was ravished. The icing I did was just a basic chocolate icing, but I melted some mint chocolate into the icing and a tot of Kahlua!
