500g Self Raising Flour
Generous pinch of salt
1 can Castle beer
Sift flour and combine the three ingredients, knead well. The trick to great bread is in the process of kneading it. You are looking for the yeast bubbles to appear in layers.
Set in warm place to allow rising twice in size
Knead a second time, and allow to rest in a bread pan.
Bake for 30 mins in a preheated oven, at 160 C
Once you remove, brush melted butter over top of loaf. Let cool.
This will be a great bread to accompany a nice warm hearty stew
